What is an RSS feed?

RSS stands for Rich Site Summary (or Really Simple Syndication).

An RSS feed gives web users the ability to receive the latest information from a website through the use of a ‘feed reader' (also called a ‘news aggregator' or 'news reader').

With this feature, updates made to Martin Hamilton-Smith's website will be available to you via RSS feed. RSS is fast becoming the most popular way to get the latest content delivered directly to you.

Feed Readers (News Aggregators)

To be able to receive latest information via an RSS feed, you can either install a Feed Reader on your computer or use a web-based reader. You can find a list of downloadable and web based feed readers here. Some popular web-based feed readers are Windows Live and Google Reader.

If you are using Internet Explorer 7 you will find a built-in Feed Reader under the Favourites tab.
